Amitava Mitra retired as Asst. Vice President (EHS) of a renowned Civil Construction Company. He was in L&T as EHS Cluster Head of entire Eastern India including Bangladesh. He handled full Hyderabad Metro Railway Project (Total 75 Stations) as EHS Head.
Being a Mechanical Engineer, Mr. Mitra did his Safety Engineering from Regional Labor Institute, Government of India with First Class. He did another Safety Graduation from Department of Labor, USA.
Mr. Mitra started his carrier with Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers limited, Government of India, Ministry of Defense. He left GRSE around 1999 and continued with ITC and General Motors respectively before leaving India. He joined Arabian Construction Company, UAE as Project EHS In-charge, a place of High Rise Building Construction with world’s most Hi-tech Civil and EHS Engineering.
Mr. Mitra is a Lead Auditor for ISO 14001 and ISO 9001:2015.
